Chantix May Assist Illinois Smokers to Quit
August 04, 2007
In few coming months, about three million smokers will not be able to smoke anymore due to the smoking ban imposed within Illinois. In a response to ban, many local smokers have started searching for alternatives which will help them in quitting smoke and can make less them contingent on smoke.
“Now smokers started inquiring about methods and medications to quit smoke more than ever before”, utter doctors in the region. And Chantix is the only ray of hope for smokers who have tried all other treatments but did not get relief.
"I've tried all other available alternatives like Albutrin, yet unable to resist my urge to smoke as addiction is hard to hit” says Darlene Brito of Rockford.
Rockford Doctor Jeff Royce completely agrees with the fact. He states, "It is quite hard to break this habit. At present, seventy percent of the people who light-up cigarettes want to curb the addiction, yet very few are actually able to resist the urge”.
"Only seven percent smokers remain smoke-free after having tried to cease smoking for a year" Dr. Royce adds
But if the medical experts say is to be believed, the present scenario could be soon changed with the use of Chantix.
Developed by Pfizer, Chantix has nearly a five times high success rate in the comparison of other treatments. Common side effects of chantix include nausea, headache, problems while sleeping, or changes in dreams. |
